Don't get us wrong... of course you should have a domain name - web site address www.YourCompanyName - that's how most people that are familiar with your business will easily get to your web site; and we are not suggesting that you discontinue its use. To get your company in front of potential customers that are not familiar with your business, you need to be ranked high in the search results when they are searching for the products and/or services that you provide. That's why we recommend that you consider using additional, relevant, key word domain names that consist of generic words that are descriptive of your business, products or services. Relevant keyword domain names are usually constructed of one or more common generic words -- for example: ElectricalTransformerSales.com or ArcFlashTraining.com or LowVoltagePowerCircuitBreakers.com or ElectricServiceCenter.com. Why are relevant, key word domain names important? Because an important element of the ranking algorithm used by virtually all search engines is whether the web site address (url - www.DomainName) includes the search keyword(s). Thus the ranking of web site addresses (url) which contain the search keyword(s) get a "boost" in their position in the search results. Of course it is also important that the web page consists of content relevant to the search keyword(s). But of course, our opinion can be considered to be prejudiced... so don't take our word for it... look at the facts. Some companies have several relevant keyword domain names.
